We are delighted to introduce to you the official Substack channel of the Association of Cricket Statisticians and Historians (ACS). This platform will serve as a hub for insight, discussion and celebration of cricket.
About the ACS
The ACS has been at the forefront of the game’s statistical and historical documentation since its inception in 1973. Our journey began with a group of thirty aficionados at Edgbaston; today, with hundreds of members in around fifteen countries, the association includes in its ranks many of the world’s leading cricket chroniclers and number-crunchers.
Promoting cricket's past and present
This Substack is more than just a newsletter; it will serve as a promotional tool for the ACS and its flagship journal, The Cricket Statistician. We will highlight groundbreaking research from our back catalogue, share exclusive new content from our members, and offer sneak peeks into upcoming editions of the journal.
Join the ACS
We invite all Substack users to join our community. As an ACS member, you'll gain access to a wealth of statistical and historical resources, participate in auctions of rare cricket memorabilia, and join a network of passionate cricket scholars.
Contribute your unique perspectives
For existing members, this Substack presents a unique opportunity. If you have an essay, anecdotes, reminiscence or analysis that you feel may not fit within the scope of our journal, we encourage you to share it here. Your contributions will enrich our collective understanding and appreciation of cricket.
